Week 44 has just ended..
63 days until the end of the year..
The sprint to Christmas..
For some of you it will be the busiest time of the year..
For others it will be a slowing down..
SLOWING DOWN OR SPEEDING UP?
Interestingly, in the industry sectors that are slowing down, there will be some in those sectors who are still way busier than others.
Why would it be that some in say The Finance Sector or the Professional Services sector are super busy and others are saying ‘this is a quiet time of the year..’?
The answer lies in the question..
IF YOU ACCEPT IT SO, IT’S UNLIKELY TO CHANGE
It reminds me of the George Bernard Shaw quote:
“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.”
John and I met earlier in the week to plan this last 63 days and beyond..
We worked through a Blue Rocket Breakthrough Mastermind agenda (just like we ask our clients to do in our sales training and sales coaching programmes).
We were both reasonable.. and unreasonable with each other..
We looked at our numbers. Not just what we call REFLECTIVE NUMBERS but also PREDICTIVE NUMBERS.
As we say ‘the numbers don’t lie… learn from the numbers… within the numbers lie the answers to the next step..’
Asking the questions..
- ‘How do we optimise the next 63 days leading into Christmas?’
- ‘What do we have that we can launch, re-launch, excite the marketplace with?’
- ‘What do the marketplace need in the next 63 days that we can help with and provide?’
- ‘What problems will the marketplace be facing in the next 63 days that we can help solve?’
…provided over 15 great new ideas and actions we wouldn’t have thought of if we hadn’t asked those questions and used our Mastermind Breakthrough process.

In a recent seminar the speaker used a Bunning Mothers Day TV commercial to make the point about constructing messages in advertising..
The commercial went something like..
‘You could get Mum a cordless drill for Mothers day… or how about a storage bin.. or what about gardening gloves…or a clothes drying rack… or a new potplant stand..?’
It was the power of SUGGESTIVE SELLING in action..
It gave the prospect ideas they may not have thought about before.
It focussed attention on possibilities that might have been relevant to the viewer – to spark action.
What if Bunnings had just said…’we have over 15,000 different things you could buy for Your Mum..?’
It wouldn’t have been anywhere near the same message..
It sparked us to be even more precise in our message..
