I’m reading a book my sister in law gave me for my birthday..
‘Confessions of a Not So Secret Agent – Harry M Miller’.
As many of you would know, Harry represented everyone from Graham Kennedy to Maggie T, to Barry Humphries and Gough Whitlam. He has some tales to tell about them all.
Its got some ripper business lessons in there too..
Not the least is one that jumped out at me today..
Lesson: You’ve got to have plenty of proposals out there and deals on the go. Its all about deal flow..

It’s developing a mind that searches out DEALS, OPPORTUNITIES, POSSIBILITIES AND PROJECTS.
What you focus on is what you attract.

“I’m kind of cruising, having fun riding the big board…I’m not thinking of the results, just trying to surf my best. It’s been my strategy and what I’ve been doing the last few events..”
“Just cruising though, trying to have fun and surf really well. I’m not too concerned about the outcome and I think that’s what works best for me.”
“It’s the best roll I’ve had in my career and I’m going to stick to that formula.”

Remember two things about selling..
1. Most sales start with a buyer realising they have a problem or unmet want… and
2. You need to have built a relationship with the prospect so that when they have that problem, you have SHARE OF MIND, and they think of you..
