BEING A SPECIALIST IS ONLY HALF THE GAME
These ladies are the only ones who really do what they do in the marketplace..
Yet.. as the old marketing proverb goes..
‘Being good isnt good enough.. the marketplace needs to be talking about how good you are..’
(Ok.. so I’ve done my own version of the proverb… but you know what I mean..)
Just because you are good (or even great) is not enough, you need to be continually and systematically marketing and building value, creating raving fans to continue to grow and add value to the business.
You can’t just ‘hang out your shingle and be good’ and the world will beat a path to your door..

Was with another client on Friday going through the plan we have put together for them and he said, ‘yes, that’s exactly what we want SALES SYSTEMATISATION, ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT AND CLIENT RETENTION…’
And I thought ‘that’s good, because that’s what we have planned for you based on what you told us you wanted..’
What’s the point here?
1. Make sure you have a Sales System that systematically discovers the need, the real need, the need under the need and the emotional driver that underpins that need for your client. Otherwise you might just be discovering the ‘superficial’ need, not the real need.
2. Often, your greatest ideas for new products and services, your greatest ad copy, your greatest opportunity to blast to the next level, will actually come from the mouths of your clients and prospects. But you need to be listening for them.
Often I’ll say to my client ‘that’s a headline…..what you just said.. that should be a headline or at least a sub headline in your ad copy…’
They’ll say ‘what did I just say…?’
3. Often, we are all so close to our businesses we can’t see or hear the gold that lies right before our eyes. Often we all need fresh eyes and ears to discover the gold that is glistening right there in front of us..
Anyway.. must go.. have a coffee meeting in West Perth in 40 minutes..
